MCLA Volleyball Reaches Conference Final

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Chloe Garber had a double-double Thursday to lead the MCLA volleyball team to a four-set win over Worcester State in the MASCAC semi-finals.
 
Garber recorded 12 kills and 16 digs in the 25-16, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21 win.
 
Audrey Melson had 13 kills, and Lee High's Elizabeth Brown recorded five kills and 10 digs in the win.
 
The third-seeded Trailblazers advance to play fourth-seeded Framingham State in the conference title match.
 
Women's Hockey
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jordyn Bleaney scored a goal and set up another to lead Anna Maria to a 3-2 win over MCLA.
 
Becky Ade and Alexandrea Bednar each scored a goal for MCLA, which got 43 saves from Juliette Barney.
 
MCLA (2-3) travels to Worcester to play Anna Maria on Friday.

Mother's Day: Weekend Outlook

Daffodil and Tulip Festival

The historic home and garden will conclude its annual Daffodil and Tulip Festival this weekend. The festival showcases more than 150,000 daffodils, tulips, and minor bulbs across eight acres of land.
 
The 48-acre estate will be decorated "with a variety of blooms, containers, displays and decorations against the backdrop of stunning views of Monument Mountain and the Berkshire Hills," the website said.
 
Mixed bouquets, container plants, and a pre-sale of spring bulbs will be sold at a pop-up shop outside the greenhouse. Food and refreshments will be for sale at the outdoor snack shack. Admittance to the inside of the house will be permitted for self-guided tours of the first floor and to provide access to the museum's gift shop.
